Dear fellow students,
I am Li Jin, who won the champion in the Stories of China Retold in English
Challenge. And at the request of the English club of our school, I would like to share
with you my experience of improving my oral English and learning about traditional
Chinese culture.
First of all, when it comes to spoken English, the best way to improve it is to
practise listening and speaking as much as you can. Besides, what is considered an
effective approach is to participate in beneficial activities like “English Corner” or
English speech competitions. As for accumulating knowledge concerning traditional
Chinese culture, I strongly recommend that you should read more related books and
visit museums where splendid Chinese history and culture are exhibited vividly.
All in all, I sincerely hope that you can make great progress in your speaking
and broaden your horizons through constant efforts.
Li Jin
