China has an unbelievable amount to offer, from busy, bright and fast-paced cities to scenic mountainous regions.
Chengdu gives you an opportunity of seeing pandas close up. See the adult pandas climbing trees and snacking on bamboo shoots, as well as the incredibly cute baby pandas sleeping in cribs or play fighting-the city offers you something you can't experience anywhere else in the world! Get up early to catch them awake, and you can even hold a baby panda.
Wherever you travel, the local food is what you can't miss. In China a few of my favorite dishes included the Peking Duck. You can always find something to please. After 3 weeks of eating in China my chopstick skills certainly improved!
Possibly my absolutely favorite places in China are Yangshuo and Longji. They both are
peaceful and quiet with some of the most impressive scenery I have experienced. Lastly I went to Shanghai, a city I adored. A few must-dos in this city include taking a trip up the Financial Center for sweeping views of this city, or an evening cruise(乘船游览) on the river to watch as the sun sets and the lights of the city start switching on.
All in all, from history and culture to wildlife and gardens-China has something for every tourist!

The colorful clothes we wear today are made by machines. But what did ancient people do if they wanted to wear something colorful!? Tie-dye (扎染) was a way to do this.
More than 1,000 years ago, the Bai people in Yunnan used tie-dye to dye their clothes. Then this skill became so popular that people gave tie dyed clothes to the emperor as gifts.

As the cloth is folded, some parts become dark blue, while other parts have a lighter color. When you unfold the cloth, you will see beautiful patterns.
In the 1960s, tie-dye became a fashion trend in the US. People tie-dyed T-shirts and jeans in imaginative ways. Many children in the US still learn tie-dye in their art classes.
At a recent famous fashion show, an Italian designer surprised people with tie-dyed dresses. “ Tie-dye is like an experiment. People cannot imagine the patterns of the cloth if they don’t see them. A Day with Robot Bob
My amazing day began when Professor Schwartz brought his robot, Bob, to my house. I was surprised that Bob didn't look like a person at all. He was just a small machine with wheels. But what a wonderful machine! I learned how to program Bob to turn and to go forward. In a way, Bob worked like a remote-controlled (is #t) car. The difference was that he cleaned the floor while he rolled along.
A robot doesn't really do all the work for you. I had to pick up everything from the floor of my room. Then Bob was able to work. He doesn't really think for himself either. I had to tell him how to move. It was still a lot of work, but it was fun to run a machine without having to touch it.
Professor Schwartz and his team are working to make Bob "smarter". Then he won't need so much help“ learning”" about what he has to do.
I hope I’ll see him again someday.
76. Bob looked like a person.
77. Bob could be used to clean the floor.
78. The writer had to help Bob with the work
79. Bob can think for himself.
80. The writer will see Bob next week.
