There was once a poor man who had three sons. He often said to them,
“My boys, we don’t have land or cows. But you have fine minds and must
use them. Notice everything, observe(观察) and learn. Your abilities will
serve you well.”
Years went by, and the old father died. The brothers were very sad,
and they decided to set about walking. After many days, they came to a
road leading to a great city. They came upon a rich man on a horse searching
all around.
The eldest brother called out, “Are you looking for a large camel?”

When buying things online, people may listen to influencers(网红).
However, influencers may not say what they really think about the products
that they sell.
France recently passed a law about influencers. Influencers need to let
people know that they are selling things. They mustn’t sell cigarettes or
alcohol(烟酒). As for makeup, they can use a filter(滤镜) to make
the products look better only if they let viewers know. Also, they shouldn’t
ask people to take part in betting(赌博), such as for sports matches.

According to a report, over 42 million consumers in France purchase
goods or services online. This law is to protect both influencers and
consumers on social networks.
There are about 150,000 influencers in France affected by the law. If
influencers break the law, then they will end up in prison(监狱) for up to
two years. Also, they may face a fine of up to 300,000 euros.
France is the first European country to have such a law. It wants to stop
influencers from cheating and protect people using the Internet, especially
the younger ones, according to the French lawmaker Stephane Vojetta.

“It is a field which we believe in because it creates jobs and it values

“The best way to protect it is to make a framework(框架) and rules
so that in this area, there are no profiteers(奸商) or people who can take
advantage of the weakness of certain consumers,” Bruno Le Maire said.
