(22-23高一下·广东广州·期末)One day last summer, my 9-year-old son Ben and I were riding the waves at a popular ocean beach on outer Cape Cod. As we were playing happily with our surfboard, I suddenly noticed an astonishing 61 —some whales were spouting (喷水) well within view of where we 62 .
We stared and pointed in 63 . “Ben, can you believe it?” I cried. “We’re swimming with the whales!” “Mom,” Ben said in reply, “we’re 64 swimming with the whales. This is their habitat, not ours!”
Ben’s words took my breath away, more than the dramatic waves and the amazing sight of the 65 .
He was absolutely 66 , of course. These whales live in the waters off Cape Cod. This is their 67 —one that we visit, love and protect. So when we set foot into a 68 space, it’s meaningful and important to 69 that we are visiting something that is beautiful and enjoyable to us, but is not 70 for us.
We each have a part to play in 71 space. When we acknowledge our coexistence, as Ben 72 , we set ourselves up for success in how we interact with each other. This is as 73 in the vastness of the ocean as it is in our 74 where we live, work, play and serve.
How we 75 and support each other in this vast ocean of life—that’s up to us.

(22-23高一下·广东广州·期末)There was something in the elderly woman’s behavior that caught my eye. Although 76 gestures, the woman moved steadily (平稳地), and there was no hesitation in her gestures. She was as 77 as anyone else, as her movements suggested. And she had a job to do.

I showed the old woman the way to the queue at the cash register. When the older woman’s 86 in line came, she paid in cash, counting out the dollars and coins with the same 87 she’d displayed earlier.

First two other homeless cats that we named Garfield and Tang also showed up, wanting to be 107 . Now my daughter is like a Disney princess. Anytime she walks outside, the 110 gather around.

But Miss Alice scared them away. She wasn’t 115 to share anything about me.
The thing that Miss Alice 116 understands is something that has taken me years to learn, too. It is the truth that the more love we share and 117 ,the more love we have. Some 118 people like my daughter seem to know a lot about 119 . It is in sharing love that we can make 120 with the world. It is in love that we support each other. May we all learn this even if poor Miss Alice never does.
