[s] 摩擦音、齿龈音及清辅音。发音时上下齿自然合拢,嘴唇微开,舌前抬起,将口腔的空气从窄缝中泄出成嘶的音。是清辅音,声带不震动。
常见的发/s/音的字母及字母组合有s,ss,c

2. [z] 摩擦音、齿龈音及浊辅音。发音时微微张开嘴巴,上下齿自然合拢,舌端抬起,靠近齿龈,气流由舌端与齿龈之间的窄缝中泄出,同时震动声带发音。是浊辅音,要振动声带发音,气流较强。
字母"z"、"ze"和"zz"一般发/z/
