外刊阅读拓展 Unit 5　 Amazing things 游客太空之旅 On August 10， 2023， the world’s first mother-and-daughter team flew to the edge（边缘） of space on board Virgin Galactic’s first flight for travellers. The mission（任务）， called Galactic-02， took off from Spaceport America in the US state of New Mexico. Keisha Schahaff and her daughter Anastatia Mayers， from Antigua， got their tickets（票） for the trip in a competition（竞赛）. The other visitor was an 80-year-old British man called Jon Goodwin. He bought his ticket many years ago for $250，000. The travellers travelled with two astronauts and the driver on a space plane called VSS Unity. To address that， scientists have created a strong paper bag that can be reused many times before being turned into fuel. Created by a company called Plenty， it is a vertical farm with crops and plants growing on towers nearly two stories high. The farm is expected to produce 4.5 million pounds of greens yearly. Vertical farms have been shown to produce up to 350 times more food per acre than traditional farms， using much less land and water.
