职教高考专题复习（六）——数 词 知识链接 表示数目多少和顺序先后的词叫做数词。 (一)数词的分类 数词分基数词和序数词两大类，前者表示数目多少，后者表示顺序先后。 1.基数词的构成 0~12 是独立基数词: zero, one, two, three, four, five, six, sev-en,eight, nine, ten, eleven, twelve 13~19是以 teen结尾: thirteen, fourteen, fifteen, sixteen, seven-teen, eighteen, nineteen 20~90的整十数词是以 ty结尾: twenty, thirty, forty, fifty, sixty,seventy, eighty, ninety 十位和个位之间要用连字符, 如 twenty-two 三位数的数词由 hundred and 十位-个位如two hundred and twenty-two 千位及以上的数词由 thousand, million和billion 表示 2.大多数序数词由基数词加后缀-th 构成，如:fourth, sixth, one hundredth 等。以 y结尾的基数词变为序数词时，先把y变为i，再加-eth。如:twenty→twentieth,forty→forti-eth等。 两位数及以上的序数词，只变个位数即可。 下面几个基数词变序数词形式不规则： one→first,two→second,three→third,five→fifth, eig ht→eighth, nine→ ninth, twelve→twelfth. 巧记顺口溜： 基数词变序数词的口诀： 基变序，有规律：一二三，特殊记，八加h，九去 e;ve要用f 替,以 y结尾变 ie,后加 th莫忘记；假如碰到几十几，只变个位就可以。 (二)数词的用法 顺读 时间表示法 to 逆读 past 1.编号表示法 名词前用序数词编号，并加定冠词；名词后用基数词编号，此时要注意名词和基数词需要大写。如: the third part = Part Three 第三部分, the seventh lesson = Lesson Seven 第七课, Bus No. 25 =the No.25 Bus 第 25 路公交车等。 2.表示年代用“in+the+整 10的基数词的复数形式”。另外, 数词前还可用形容词early, late,middle 等修饰。 如:in the 1990’s或 in the earlynineteen nineties。 3.表示某人大约的年龄,用“in+one’s+整10 的基数词的复数形式”。如:in one's for-ties。 4.基数词 hundred, thousand, million, bil-lion表示确切数目，与具体数词连用时，用单数形式，如:two hundred students;如果表示不确切数目, 则要在词尾加-s, 且后接 of短语, 如:hundreds ofstudents, thousands of people 等。 5.以“基数词+名词”合成的定语，其中名词用单数。如:a five-year-old boy,a four-starhotel 等。 6.序数词前要加定冠词 the 或 one's。如: I was the third to speak. 我是第三个发言的。 7.年、月、 日的书写方法有： February 12th,2019、 12 February,2019和12th(of) February,2019, 读作 February the twelfth, two thousand and nineteen 或 the twelfth of February, two thousand and nineteen 【注意】 月份、星期的单词 January 一月, February 二月, March 三月,April 四月, May 五月, June 六月, July 七月,August 八月, September 九月, October 十月,November十一月, December 十二月。 Monday 星 期 一, Tuesday 星 期二, Wednesday星期三, Thursday 星期四, Friday星期五, Saturday 星期六, Sunday星期日。 8.分数的表示方式：分子用基数词，分母用序数词，分子大于1时，分母用复数形式。如:1/3—a (one) third, two fifths。注意二分之一、四分之一、四分之三有特殊表达法，分别是 one(a) half, one(a) quarter, three quarters。 9.倍数的表示方式有以下几种： (1)倍数(或分数)+as+adj.+as...如: I have three times as many as you. 我有你3倍那么多。 (2)倍数(分数)+形容词(副词)比较级+than…如: This room is twice bigger than that one.这个房间比那个(房间)大两倍。 (3)倍数(分数)+the+名词(the size, length,height等)+of…如: The earth is 49 times the size of the moon.地球是月球的49 倍。 【专项训练】 1.(2022·春考真题) When will John's birth-day party be held?
