(1) Which song would your group like to research? We want to choose “Take Me Home, Country Roads” by John Denver. (2) Why do you choose this song? Because all of us like the style of country music, and this song is a typical example of country music, which describes the beautiful scenery of West Virginia. Its lyrics are simple and its music is beautiful. 2. Have students discuss how to research their chosen song. “Take Me Home, Country Roads” Singer/Band: John Denver Background: Based on West Virginia, John Denver wrote this song in memory of his golden days in his hometown. Lyrics: ...Country roads, take me home To the place I belong West Virginia Mountain Mama Take me home, country roads... Style: Country music 批　注 Meaning: Loving nature,missing his hometown and his family 3. Have students work in groups, allocate their tasks and search for the information they need. 4. Have students put together the information logically to make their profile. 5. Have students present their profile to the class, and provide background information of the song and the singer/band in English. 6.
