Step 1 Preview
1.Translate the following:

2.Ask and answer in pairs:
What time does your school start ?
When do your lessons begin?
How often do you go to the library to read books?

Step 2 Listening
1. Present Part 1.
1)T: Millie is talking with Simon about a volleyball match. Listen to their conversation. Tick the correct answer to each question.
2) Play the tape.
2.Ask students to ask and answer in pairs. Encourage students to use the whole sentences to answer the questions.
3. Present Part A2, and help the students finish Part A2
T: Simon is making notes about the volleyball match. Let’s listen to the conversation again and help him complete the notes in Part A2.
Step 3 Showtime
1.Ask Ss to complete Part A3, according to the information about the volleyball match.
T: Simon wants to write a notice about the volleyball match to his classmates. Would you please help him complete it?
Encourage students to finish the notice: Simon will read the notice and tell you something
about the volleyball match. Who wants to play the role of Simon?
2.Let’s discuss the important points in groups about PartA3.
Ss translate these phrases one by one

Step 4 Presentation
1.Talk about the volleyball match and present Part B.

Step 5 Speak up
1. Present Part B.
T: Millie is chatting online with Tommy about their weekend. Please listen to their
conversation and answer this question:

2.Play the tape, and ask students to read after the tape.

教学反思
本节课我采用了“四学一补偿”的教学模式:先通过translate the following和ask and answer in pairs让学生回家进行自主探学,然后让学生make a dialogue in pairs进行小组助学,接着师生展学:listen and complete PartA1、A2、A3,listen and answer PartB,practise their own dialogues in pairs,然后通过play a game反馈检学,最后通过五句翻译题进行作业补偿。这一教学模式充分体现了学生的主体地位,激发了学生的学习积极性,教学效果较好。
