Don’t litter on the floor. 不要往地上扔垃圾。 这是一个祈使句的否定句，是要求某人不要做某事。 litter是动词用法，表示“扔垃圾”。 还可以作名词，意思是“杂物，垃圾” 常用短语有： pick up litter捡垃圾 drop litter扔垃圾 2. You shouldn’t tell lies. 你不应该撒谎。 本句是用来建议某人不应该做某事。 句式结构：主语 + shouldn’t + 动词原形 + 其它. should not 的缩写形式“不应该”。 should （情态动词）：应该，它常被用来表示提出建议。 shouldn’t 是它的否定形式。 3. We’d better keep quiet. 我们最好保持安静。 ⑴ 此句用于表示对别人的劝告、建议或一种愿望。 We’d =We had had better （固定搭配）：最好做…… 常缩写为 ’d better， 后面必须接动词原形。 最好不要做某事：had better not+动词原形 不能用have来替换 ⑵句中的keep 是一个动词，表示保持某种状态，或 保持某个动作持续进行。 常用结构：keep (+ sth.) + adj. 使某物保持…… keep sb. doing sth. 让某人一直做某事 例：我们应该保持空气清洁。 We should keep the air clean. 老板让工人连续工作了10个小时。 The boss keeps the workers working for ten hours. 4.
