Healthy eating is very important for our health. We should build healthy eating habits. We should eat different kinds of vegetables and fruits every day. Healthy eating doesn’t just mean what you eat, but how you eat. Here is some advice on healthy eating.
Eat with others. It can help you to see others’ eating habits. If you usually eat with your parents, you will find that the food you eat is more delicious.
Listen to your body. Ask yourself if you are really hungry. Have a glass of water to see if you are thirsty — sometimes you are just thirsty, you need no food. Stop eating before you feel full.
Eat breakfast. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. After you don’t eat for the past ten hours, your body needs food to get you going. You will be smarter after eating breakfast.
Eat healthy snacks like fruits, yogurt or cheese. We all need snacks sometimes. In fact, it’s a good idea to eat two healthy snacks between your three meals. This doesn’t mean that you can eat a bag of chips instead of a meal.
Don’t eat dinner late. With our busy life, we always put off eating dinner until the last minute. Try to eat dinner at least 3 hours before you go to bed. This will give your body a chance to digest (消化) most of the food before you rest for the next 8 to 10 hours.
As you can see, having a healthy eating habit is important for everyone. Let’s have a healthy eating habit and lead a happy life.

In many families, the oldest child is often expected (期待) to take care of younger ones, take on more housework, and tend to have more expectations placed on them. But why do older children seem to “always have to do everything”?
Parents give housework to the most capable Sometimes, parents need children to do some housework when they are busy. Because the oldest child is the most likely to be able to carry out the work, parents tend to give the housework to that child. It doesn’t necessarily mean that younger children aren’t as capable of doing housework. Sometimes, parents overlook younger children because they seem so young. However, it’s important to ask yourself, “Are younger children now ready to take on more work?” “Can we hand out some of the housework to the younger ones?” Remember, many hands make light work.
Younger children look up to the oldest. Whether older children want them to or not, their younger siblings look up to them. This may put kind of pressure on the oldest to do things to help the younger children go on to look up to them. In this way, older children often jump in to help younger ones with math homework, reading, housework, etc. As a result, older children, not the younger ones, have more chances to be leaders.
Parents put pressure on the oldest to be an example. How many times do we hear a parent say to the younger ones, “If you just would do what your brother does…”? Saying this, a lot of parents put pressure on the oldest to work as an example to their younger siblings. This may help the older ones take on more responsibilities, but it can go too far. Some older children are likely to become people-pleasers. They tend to say “yes” to others just to please everyone but themselves.
So, be sure to spend time with your oldest child. While we’re placing all those responsibilities on our oldest kids, we’d better remember that it’s important to spend time with them. It’s easy to become caught up in younger siblings’ needs, but that doesn’t mean our older kids don’t need us! When you’re working on the housework and responsibilities for the next week, make sure you spend some time with your oldest doing something fun.
50. Parents often give housework to the oldest because ________.
A. they expect the oldest to be a leader in the future
B. only the oldest want to help when parents are busy
C. the younger ones are not ready to take responsibility
D. they believe in their ability more than the younger ones
51. What can we learn about the older children?
A. Parents enjoy spending time with the older children.
B. Parents expect the older children to be good examples.
C. The older children look down on the younger ones.
D. The older children don’t like to please others.
52. What do the underlined words “many hands make light work” mean?
A. Children can work together to make things easy.
B. Sometimes younger children are more capable.
C. Parents don’t use their hands to do heavy work.
D. Older children do light work with their hands.
53. According to the passage, what does the writer want to tell us?
A. Parents shouldn’t ask older children to do much housework.
B. We should place more responsibilities on the older children.
C. Parents should care more about the older children.
D. High expectations are not good for the older children.
What is going to happen in the future? Will robots control (控制) our world? Will computers become smarter than us? Probably no. But scientists say that there is going to be a big change in 10-30 years from now, according to the BBC. Here are some new things in the future.
Bionic (仿生的) Eyes
They’re no longer something only in a movie. Now we have them in real life. People who are blind would be able to see things clearly by wearing bionic eyes. A blind eye can’t see things, but a bionic eye can use a machine to “see” the environment and send information to the mind.
Digital (数字的) Money
Now we can use Wechat Pay or Alipay (支付宝) to shop. That means we are already using digital money. People only need to take a phone wherever they go. Using these ways is much easier than looking for money in our pockets. However, some people don’t like using it. They think it is not safe enough. In fact, it is not true at all. The truth is that digital money is even safer.
Self-driving (自动驾驶) Cars
There are special machines on the car. They can make the car follow the rules of the road and keep a safe space from other cars. This would make the road safer. You can even take a short rest when the car drives itself. In the future, self-driving cars would be used by many people.
54. Are bionic eyes only in a movie?
55. How many things does the writer introduce?
56. Why do some people not like using digital money?
57. What can special machines on the car do?
58.What is the passage mainly about?

A. Thank you
B. Good luck
C. You’re welcome
D. That sounds good
D. his
19.正确答案是:A. in
B. How far
How long用来询问时间长度,How often用来询问频率,How many用来询问数量,都与句意不符。
D. can’t

C. is having
C. exercises
D. That sounds good
选项A“Thank you”表示感谢,但在此处不适用;选项B“Good luck”表示祝好运,也不符合语境;选项C“You’re welcome”表示不用谢,同样不适用。

Do you love the cute pandas? Now the San Diego Zoo has two pandas from China: Xiao Liwu, seven years old; and his mother, Bai Yun. They have two black eyes on the white faces and they like eating bamboo. You can find them at Panda Trek, near the Panda Research Station.
In the Zoo's Reptile Walk, you'll find the nine-year-old Chinese alligator! From nose to tail, belly to back, hard scales (鳞甲) protect this alligator. Do you know? The image of dragons in Chinese culture could come from the Chinese alligator.
The harpy eagle is legendary (传说的). Although few people have seen one in the wild, luckily, you can see one here at the Zoo! This dark grey bird which is ten years old has a very special look, with feathers on its head. The harpy eagle may not be the largest bird, but it is the heaviest and strongest.
Jaguars are pretty cool cats! Jaguars can live in the rain forest. They can climb trees, and even swim in rivers. In fact, they usually live near water. They can also live on grasslands or deserts. There is one eight-year-old jaguar in the zoo. Try to find it!

it and walked away.

47.When we eat with others, we can________.
A. know what we can eat
B. eat more snacks
C. see others’ eating habits
D. eat more fruit and vegetables
48. What can we learn from the passage?
A. Snacks are bad for our health.
B. Dinner is the most important meal of the day.
C. Eating with our parents can make us smarter.
D. We should have dinner at least 3 hours before going to bed.
49. The passage mainly tells us________.
A. where to eat
B. how to eat
C. why to eat
D. when to eat
C. see others’ eating habits
It can help you to see others’ eating habits.”,即与他人一起吃饭可以帮助你看到他人的饮食习惯。
D. We should have dinner at least 3 hours before going to bed.
文章第六段提到“Try to eat dinner at least 3 hours before you go to bed.”,即我们应该在睡觉前至少三小时吃晚饭。
B. how to eat
文章第一段明确提到“Healthy eating doesn’t just mean what you eat, but how you eat.”,即健康饮食不仅仅是指你吃什么,而是指你如何吃。
D
D. they believe in their ability more than the younger ones
在文章中提到:“Parents give housework to the most capable (有能力的). Sometimes, parents need children to do some housework when they are busy. Because the oldest child is the most likely to be able to carry out the work, parents tend to give the housework to that child.”
B. Parents expect the older children to be good examples.
A. Children can work together to make things easy.
C. Parents should care more about the older children.
在文章最后一段中提到“While we’re placing all those responsibilities on our oldest kids, we’d better remember that it’s important to spend time with them.”,即在我们给最大的孩子赋予所有责任的同时,我们最好记住与他们共度时光也很重要。
58. What is the passage mainly about?
54.No.
They’re no longer something only in a movie. Now we have them in real life.",我们可以知道仿生眼睛已经不再是只存在于电影中的东西,现在我们在现实生活中已经有了它们。
56.Because they think it is not safe enough.
However, some people don’t like using it. They think it is not safe enough."
57.They can make the car follow the rules of the road and keep a safe space from other cars.
There are special machines on the car. They can make the car follow the rules of the road and keep a safe space from other cars."
58.Some new things in the future.

Hello, everyone! I'm Li Hua. Today, I'd like to talk about how rules make our lives better. In school, we have rules like not eating in class and being punctual. These rules help us focus on learning and develop good habits. At home, we have rules too, like cleaning our rooms and helping with chores. These teach us responsibility and cooperation. Rules are important because they bring order and discipline to our lives. They help us understand what's expected of us and how to behave. Without rules, life would be chaotic. So, let's all follow the rules and make our world a better place! Thank you for listening.
