A. 回答问题
Sometimes English learners have to find out the
differences between cultures(文化), like Chinese
culture and American culture. We should respect
(尊重) them in the face of cultural differences.
Because American people's ideas are different from those of Chinese
people, it is necessary to talk about the party culture.
The first difference is about the party places. Chinese people are
more interested in having a party at restaurants. The party organizers(组
织者) often let a lot of people come and have fun, such as birthday party
and wedding(婚礼) party. But Americans like to have a party at home.
Most of their parties are small, and only friends will come.
The second difference is about the time. Chinese people always go to
the party before it starts. For example, if the organizers tell them the
party will start at twelve o'clock, it's polite to arrive at the restaurant ten
or fifteen minutes earlier. Americans won't do the same as Chinese. In
fact, they always go to the party on time or even later, because they are
afraid that the organizers won't prepare everything well if they go there
too early.
All in all, remembering these cultural differences will be important if
you are going on a trip to America or other countries in the future.
1. What should we do in the face of cultural differences?
2. Where are Chinese people more interested in having a party?
3. Who will come to an American's party?
4. When do Chinese people always go to the party, earlier or later?
We should respect them.
At restaurants. /They are more interested in having a party at
restaurants.
Only friends. /Only friends will come to an American's party.
Earlier. /They always go to the party earlier.
5. Why do Americans always go to the party on time or even later?
Because they are afraid that the organizers won't prepare
everything well if they go there too early.

First, when you meet someone for the first time, you should shake
hands and say hello. Then, when you receive a gift from a Chinese friend,
remember to open it later. The Spring Festival is coming. On the first day
of the Spring Festival, you mustn't do any cleaning and you'd better not
break anything. It's bad luck. What's more, during the Spring Festival
month, you must use red paper for hongbao because red means luck, and
you'd better not have your hair cut.
