Mooncakes are a kind of special food of the Mid-Autumn Festival. They are in the shape of a full moon because people hope all their family can get together all the time.
When I was a child, my family always got together in my grandparents’ home on the Mid-Autumn Festival. We sat around a big round table and made mooncakes by hand together. We followed grandma’s ways of making mooncakes. And my grandpa told interesting stories to us. Everyone was tired but with a happy face.
As I was older, my family and I moved to different cities. We were busy working and learning, so we seldom sat together and talked with each other. But it was different on the Mid-Autumn Festival. There were different kinds of beautiful and delicious (美味的) mooncakes in the shops. However, my grandma still asked us to go back to make mooncakes together. She told us she liked doing that for it could let us get together and let us not forget those old hard days.
We all know what a mooncake brings for us. It passes (传递) our love to our family and makes Chinese virtue (美德) be passed for a long time.
