Comprehend the Basic Information 1.Play the recording for the first time, and answer the following questions: (1). Who are the two speakers in the listening? What is their relationship? (2). What is the main idea of the first part of the listening? How about the second part? 2.Listening again and ask Ss to fill in the blanks about summaries of Miao and Dong ethnic groups with shorthand methods. 3.Present the listening text and pay attention to the expressions of language. 1. How does Wu Yue feel about Chinese culture? 2. What does Justin think of the Miao and Dong cultures? How do you know that? 3. Can you find out and distinguish the expressions used to express “you are listening” and giving feedback? Please discuss their function in daily conversations. Step4.Conduct the Information Bank 1.
