What’s really green?
一、教学目标:
By the end of class, the students will be able to
1. Get the main idea and have a general knowledge of what’s really green in our daily life
2. Understand the meaning and function of the subheading and the structure of the passage
3. Understand the logic of causes-effects-measures in the context of a green lifestyle
4. Hold a doubtful attitude towards some common sense
二、教学重难点:
1. Help the students develop their critical thinking;
2. Guide the students to learn the logic of the passage: identify the “green truths”, explain why they are not green and come up with a solution;
3、 学情分析
They are senior 1 students, and they know some information about environment protection. But they don’t know if some common sense are true, and they also need to form a critical thinking ability.

1. Ask Ss what is the meaning of “green”
2. Raise the question: How much do you know about “green living”?
Ss finish the Activity 1 and choose the answers of their own.
