Unit 4 History and Traditions Period 3 Discovering Useful Structures 教材分析 该板块以“表达情感和描述情景”（Express your feelings and describe situations）为活动主题，学生通过观察、分析与归纳总结，掌握过去分词作定语和宾语补足语的用法，并运用这一结构表达情感及描述情景。教材设计的4个活动，围绕“表达情感和描述情景”这一主题，层层递进，既能培养学生的观察和分析能力，也能培养学生的思维品质。 教学目标  1. 能正确理解使用下列词汇: charge, announce, amount, gallery, approach, ensure。 2. 在学习过程中通过对比、观察了解过去分词作定语和宾语补足语的功能。 3. 引导学生在掌握过去分词作定语和宾语补足语功能的基础上，通过分析句子特点来加深对此的理解。 4. 根据所学语法项目来生动细致地描述事物、情境和个人情感等。 教学重难点 【教学重点】 引导学生在较为真实的语境中，恰当运用过去分词作定语和宾语补足语的结构，较为生动细致地描述事物、情境及个人情感等。 【教学难点】 能够使学生通过联想、类比和分析，理解过去分词作定语和宾语补足语的结构并恰当运用来描述事物和个人情感。 教学过程 Step 1 Warming-up Answer the questions according to “What’s in a name?”. 设计意图：通过问答式对What’s in a name?课文内容进行回顾，然后引出本节课的重点结构，为下面的学习活动准备铺垫。 Step 2 Observing 1. Look at the past participles underlined, and discuss their functions. 设计意图：引导学生通过观察、对比语言特点，在归类的基础上分析过去分词作定语和宾语补足语的特点。 2. Study the following examples. Past participle as the attribute 3. Work in groups to discuss the differences. 现在分词 (doing) 与 过去分词 (done) 作定语时的区别。 Step 3 Practice 1. Fill in the blanks with the correct form of the words in the bracket. 2. Study the sentences and rewrite them with the past participles. 3. Complete the phrases in the right column by using the past participles in the left column. 4.
