Day 7
Passage 1
In the first class this afternoon, Mr. Lu took us to the natural knowledge room on the fifth floor to play games.
Mr. Lu did three little magic tricks first, and we were all attracted by them. After the show, Mr. Lu said to us mysteriously(神秘地), “Now let’s make the wax figure(蜡像). We first take out the molds(模具) of our favorite animals, and then put them into green wax water, and then put them in cold water, and finally a lovely animal wax figure is finished.” I immediately ran over, but Mr. Lu said, “Let the girls do it first, and the boys play other machines first.”
After a while, Mr. Lu shouted, “Boys line up.” I was excited and rushed over. I ran to the front of the stage, the teacher asked me what animal I want to make. I thought, “I am a rat, so I’ll take a rat.” So I didn’t hesitate to take the rat. I use a spoon to pick some green bright wax water and put it in the animal mold. Then make it cool down in cold water. Finally, I took my little mouse out, a delicate little mouse finished. I was happy and jumped three feet high.
Then Mr. Lu said, “Students who want to make the second animal should firstly solve the puzzle.” It was so hard that I nearly wanted to leave. But I thought of what my dad told me— never give up and calm down when facing problems. So, I calmed down and tried a method that I learned from class. In the end, I cleaned the mess with my classmates successfully! Then I made a dragon in the same way. The little mouse was sitting on the Dragon, flying to the sky!
I was very happy to be back in classroom, because I made two wax figures and learned one thing—No matter what we do, we are supposed to think more and try more, so that everything can be solved.
