The main content of this unit is to talk about people’s daily lives and talk about what people are doing by using present progressive tense. The topic is related to students’ life, so it’s easy for them to communicate with their partners by using what they have learned. Teaching objectives: Knowledge objectives: Ss master some new words and phrases in this unit such as newspaper, movie, drink etc. Ss master the present progressive tense. Ability objectives: Ss’ listening, speaking, reading and writing skills be well developed. Emotion objectives: Ss learn to value their relationship with the people around them. Teaching key and difficult points Some new words and phrases: newspaper, movies, drink etc. The present progressive tense: be + doing Part 2 The analysis of the students The ss are not very good at English and they can not use English to express themselves very well . Only few of them are interested in English and be active in class. Therefore, it’s important to protect their enthusiasm for English.
