Section A (Grammar Focus ~ 3c) Unit 3 I’m more outgoing than my sister 英语 形容词和副词的比较级 1. 形容词和副词比较级的构成 (1)规则变化 ① 一般在词尾直接加-er。如:long longer,strong stronger ② 以e结尾的词词尾只加-r。如:late later,nice nicer ③ 重读闭音节词的词尾只有一个辅音字母时,先双写该辅音字母,再加-er。 如:fat fatter,thin thinner 语法导学 ④ 以“辅音字母+y” 结尾的双音节词,先把“y”改为“i”,再加-er。 如:heavy heavier,funny funnier ⑤ 多音节词及部分双音节词前面加more。如:athletic more athletic,outgoing more outgoing,serious more serious,popular more popular 语法导学 (2)不规则变化 good (好的) better (更好的);well (好) better (更好地);bad (坏的) worse (更坏的);badly (坏;糟糕地) worse (更坏;更糟糕地);many / much (多的) more (更多的);little (少的) less (更少的);far (远的) farther / further (更远的) 语法导学 2. 形容词和副词的比较级的用法 表示两者(人或事物)的比较。在“比较级+than”的句型中,当than前后所使用的动词相同时,通常用助动词代替后面的动词。该动词或助动词可以省略。 He is younger than me.他比我小。 She sings better than he (does).她唱得比他好。 He jumps higher than his elder brother.他跳得比他哥哥高。 注:在形容词和副词的比较级前,可以用much,a little等修饰,如:much better,a little taller。 语法导学 3. 原级比较 (1)由“A+as+形容词+as+B”或“A+as+形容词+名词+ as+B”构成。 (2)其否定式为:“A+not so / as+形容词+ as+B”或“A+not so / as+形容词+名词+ as+B”。 as … as意为“和……一样”,表示同级的比较。使用时要注意第一个as为副词,第二个as为连词。 ① This film is as interesting as that one.这部电影和那部电影一样有趣。 ② Your pen writes as smoothly as mine.你的钢笔书写起来和我的一样流畅。 ③ It’s not so easy as you think.这不像你想的那么容易。 语法导学 注意: (1)若有修饰成分,如twice,three times,half,a quarter等,则该成分须置于第一个as之前。 My town is three times as big as yours.我的城镇比你的城镇大两倍。 Cats sleep twice as much as people.猫睡觉的时间比人长一倍。 (2)否定句的原级比较可以与比较级的句子相互转换。 Our school is not as large as yours.我们的学校没有你们的学校大。 =Your school is larger than ours.你们的学校比我们的学校大。 Jim doesn’t run as fast as Tom.吉姆没有汤姆跑得快。 =Tom runs faster than Jim.汤姆比吉姆跑得快。 语法导学 一、用所给单词的适当形式填空。 1.
