1. At 9:00a.m. yesterday ,bus No.26 was going along Zhonghua Road    when the driver saw an old man lying on the side of the road.

昨天上午九点，26路公交车正行驶在中华上。这时司机看到路边躺着一位老人。

1）when 常用来引导的时间状语从句，当放在过去进行时构成的主句之后时，表示“某事正在进行时，另一件事发生了”。

I was just getting into the shower when the telephone rang.

2）see sb. doing 表示“看到某人正在从事某事或正处于某种状态”.

eg.When I got home yesterday,I saw my father reading a book.

2. The bus driver ,24-year-old Wang Ping ,stopped the bus without   thinking twice。

这位公交车司机——24的王平，毫不犹豫的停下了车。

think twice表示在做某事之前”认真思考，权衡利弊”
