Spring Festival
新年快樂
The Chinese Lunar New Year is on a moon cycle, so each year the date changes, but it always begins in either January or February.
Red is an important colour in the Chinese New Year. People wear red clothes and give children "lucky money“(紅包) in red envelopes.
Red means fire, so people use firecrackers
to make bad luck go away.
They also have lots of fireworks.
In many places, they do the dragon dance.
The dragon has a big head with a long tail,
and is made of paper.
The dragon is held by young men who dance through the streets.
Lets watch.
