· Project: Make a food recipe of Spring Rolls in China
The dish: Spring Rolls --- a Popular Chinese New Year Food
A brief introduction:
1. Eating spring rolls is a way to welcome the arrival of spring.
2. The golden spring rolls look like gold bars — which symbolize wealth.
Ingredients:
250g flour powder, two eggs, two mushrooms, 100g carrot, 300g
celery, 80g bean curd skin, green onion, five cloves of garlic, ginger
Seasonings:
sesame oil, cooking oil,
pepper powder, salt
Steps:
1. Making the Wrappers:
· Take out the prepared dough
· Roll the dough flat with a rolling pin
· Fold the dough sheet and cut it into (10cm×10cm) squares
2. Stir-frying the Filling:
· Pour the filling into the wok.
· Stir-fry for 3-5 minutes to ensure all cooking oil is absorbed.
· Add salt and pepper , and toss to mix the seasonings with all ingredients.
3. Making Spring Rolls:
· Put some filling in the wrapper.
· Fold the edges, and roll the wrapper with the fillings inside.
