(三)重难点讲解：

    1.This elephant weighs many times more than this panda.这只大象比这只熊猫重许多倍。

      1) 倍数+比较级+than…
      e.g. An adult panda weighs many times more than a baby panda.

      2) weigh 是动词，其名词是weight

      e.g. I weigh 50 kilos 或 My weight is 50 kilos .

    2.There are now fewer than 2000 pandas living in the forest .

      There be +sb./sth.+地点 意为“某地有某物或某人正在做某事”be就近原则。
      e.g. There are some robots working in the factories.        

    3. Why some of them have to be protected?

      protect v. 保护   protect...from... 保护......免受......危险

      e.g. We should protect whales from water pollution.

    4. Adult pandas spend more than 12 hours a day eating

    1)spend some time (in) doing 意为花时间做某事。

    e.g. I spent one hour in doing my homework.

2)spend some time on sth.意为花时间在某事上。e.g. I spent one hour on my homework.
