单元内容
The topic of this unit is about “Joining a club”, which belongs to the branch—School Life of Man and Himself theme. There are different kinds of school activities that make our school life colorful. We have many festivals and clubs, from which we can strengthen our abilities and make friends. In the study of this unit, we will focus on learning to talk about our and others’ abilities.

语音:能识别并正确朗读元音字母u在重读音节中的三种常见读音/ju:/,/u:/,/ʌ/。
词汇:能正确使用主题相关词汇如guitar, chess, club, story, show, drum, violin, people, home, center等以及相关表达如play chess, speak English, be good at, be good with, talk to, play the guitar, make friends, join a club, do kung fu等。
语法:能正确使用can谈论个人及他人能力;能正确使用what引导的特殊疑问句询问某人的能力及加入俱乐部的倾向(What questions)。
语篇:能理解谈论能力的日常交际对话。
语用:能正确介绍个人能力且恰当询问他人能力。

1. 能听懂能力方面的关键词句且辨认对话中的人物能力。

By the end of this unit, you will be able to:
1. talk about abilities properly with the modal verb “can” by listing abilities and expressing.
2. make a survey about abilities within your group by listening and speaking;
3. write an ad for your own club to attract new members by reading and writing;
4. take an active part in school activities and make friends by reading and using.

The new term begins. Do you want to set up your own club
and invite friends with the same interest to join? You can make wonderful friends and develop your abilities together in this way. Please write an ad or make a poster for your own club.
