Teaching analysis:
教材分析:本课是Unit 4的第一课时,单元重点是介词短语的掌握,特殊疑问句的提问方式及相应的回答方法,一般现在时的使用方法总结。课文内容是关于购物话题,选择服饰等日常活动,话题比较贴近学生生活情景,较容易引起学生的学习兴趣。旨在学生能通过本单元的学习,掌握旅行指南的框架,内容和设计方式,以及由旅行话题产生的相应短语表达。在课堂教学中注意组织不同形式的活动和练习环节来激发学生积极参加并掌握相关知识点,同时通过让学生做对话,和表格整理来加深对课文对话内容和大意的理解。
学情分析:初一4/7班共有学生34人。经过前期的学习,他们已经具备一定的词汇,句式和语法基础,如购物相关的形容词、短语和特殊疑问句问答等,以及用一般现在时表达个人意见和描述物品特点等。这有利于这节课的顺利开展。这节课他们可能遇到的难点是特殊疑问句的完整问答,以及一般现在时描述物品特点。
Teaching objectives:
At the end of this lesson, students are expected to:
1. Accurately pronounce the names of the goods and shops, and differentiate which shop to buy
which kind of shops;
2. Practise your speaking skills on the basis of dialogue example;
3. Master the approaches to answer the “wh-” questions.
Teaching focus:
How to make students make dialogues with the different shops and goods in accordance with the grammatical rules. How to help students summarise and match the goods with the shops.
Teaching difficulties:
How to combine the dialogue with the teaching of speaking skills and the ways of describing the goods.

Pre-task preparation:
Step 1: Lead in:
Look at the picture and speak out their names and goods.
To arouse students’ interest, then lead in the topic of “shopping”. To remind students of their personal experiences, and combine them with the understanding of the dialogue afterwards.
While-task activities:
Step 1: Task 1
Show students the dialogue example and divide them into pairs to do the conversations.
To guide students to focus on the topic of this unit and to lay their foundation for the understanding of the whole dialogue afterwards;
Step 2: Read Aloud
Listen to the tape and circle the pictures that Mrs Wang needs to buy.
Invite students to read as different roles in this dialogue;
Ask students to read the dialogue as a whole.
