教学内容
The topic of this unit is “Dream Home”. In this “Integrated Skills” period, we will learn something more about a typical home in the UK. The students will have to listen to Neil, a boy from the UK, and try to do some different tasks. Meanwhile, some vocabulary about home facilities will also be introduced.
In this period, some useful expressions about making phone calls will be introduced too.
教学对象
The seventh grade students are not good at listening for some target information and
they are not familiar with shorthand skills. So at the beginning, I will teach students some skills about how to write down the information they need quickly and correctly. Especially focus on the Key words in the sentences.
教学目标
1. Gain the target information from listening.
2. Complete notes with the target information.
3. Talk about how to make phone calls.
教学策略
1. Integrated applications and autonomous cooperative learning.
2. Know the meaning of words by matching the pictures with the words.
3. Improve the listening skills.
4. Practise spoken English by speaking up.

Ask some questions about the students’ own house
Show a picture of a house. Let students guess what kind of rooms there are in the house?
And then lead in different rooms and the furniture in each room.
Go through the new words. Ask the students to read the new words together. Correct the possible mistakes in pronunciation.
