Unit 8 Green Living Topic Talk Teaching Objective: · To read and talk about green living · To get the main information of the listening texts · To express their own opinion on green living Difficult points · Students may need time to complete the relevant content and analyze the logic. · Students may struggle to understand the vocabulary. · Students may need help to find the different types of clauses in a sentence. Teaching process： Step 1：Lead-in Look at some pictures about environmental problems and solutions. Talk about your understanding of “green living”. Answer the questions. (1) What is green living？ (2) What can you do to improve green living? ( not to leave the tap running not to leave the house with lights still on to pick up litter to ride bikes on short journeys to plant more trees to use less tissue paper to be a volunteer for an environmental organization ) Step 2：Pre-listening 1. Learn and read the vocabularies. (1) Teacher explains the phonetic symbols to the students. (2) Students read the words by themselves. (3) Students read the words together. (4) Invite some of the students to read the words on the PPT. 2. Read the Text Builder carefully. Teacher explains the main words and phrases in the Text Builder. Step 3：While-listening Listen to the introduction at a Green Living Exhibition and complete it by underlining the words or expressions you hear. (1) What are the problems of the environment? (2) What are the solutions to protect the environment? (3) What do they think is important to fight against global warming? Step 4：Post-listening 1. Check the answers together. Discuss in groups and talk about what we can do to promote green living and share the ideas in class. 2. Explain the key words, phrases and sentence meaning of the listening text. 3. Underline some important sentences for them to recite. 4. Read and discuss the quotes in pairs or groups. (1) The background information of the quotes？ (2) Who ar
