Section A Unit 2　My favorite subject is science 1.What’s your favorite subject？ 你最喜欢的科目是什么？（教材P7） “What’s your favorite...？”用来询问对方的最爱，意为“你最喜欢的……是什么？”。其中favorite为形容词，意为“最喜欢的”，作定语，后接名词。 —What’s your favorite color？ 你最喜欢什么颜色？ —My favorite color is blue.我最喜欢蓝色。 【拓展】favorite还可以作名词，意为“最喜欢的人或物”。 Those pictures are his son’s favorites. 那些图画是他儿子最喜欢的。 （1）His favorite　⁠subject is art.He likes drawing very much. （2）（2023青岛莱西市期中）我最喜欢的科目是英语。（favorite）  　My favorite subject is English.　⁠ avorite　 My favorite subject is English.　 2.—Why do you like P.E.？ 你为什么喜欢体育？ —Because it’s fun.因为它有趣。（教材P8） （1）why属于疑问副词，意为“为什么”，引导特殊疑问句，用来询问原因、理由。 —Why do you like Monday？ 你为什么喜欢星期一？ —Because I have English on Monday. 因为我星期一上英语课。 【注意】由why构成的特殊疑问句必须用由because 引导的句子来回答。 —Why doesn’t Sally go to school today？ 今天Sally为什么不去上学？ —Because it is Saturday today. 因为今天是星期六。 （2）because为连词，意为“因为”，表示原因，用来回答why引导的特殊疑问句。 —Why do you like English？ 你为什么喜欢英语？ —Because it is interesting.因为它有趣。 【注意】because为从属连词，不可与并列连词so同时出现在一个句子中。 （1）（2023福建中考）We are making a big cake 　A　⁠it’s Dad’s birthday today. A.because B.until C.once （2）John喜欢中文，因为他认为中文很有意思。  　John likes Chinese because he thinks it’s very interesting.　⁠ （3）你为什么喜欢星期二？  　Why do you like Tuesday？　⁠ A　 John likes Chinese because he thinks it’s very interesting.　 Why do you like Tuesday？　 3.Who’s your P.E. teacher？ 你的体育老师是谁？（教材P8） who意为“谁”，用作疑问代词，常用来询问人，在句中可作主语，也可作宾语。 Who is that boy？那个男孩是谁？ Who do you like to go with？你喜欢和谁去？ 【拓展】who为主格形式，其宾格形式为whom，在口语中who可以代替whom。 （1）树底下那个女孩是谁？  　Who is the girl under the tree？　⁠ （2）你的朋友是谁？  　Who is your friend？　⁠ Who is the girl under the tree？　 Who is your friend？　 4.That’s for sure.的确如此。（教材P8） 当你完全同意别人的某种观点时，可以用“That’s for sure.”表示赞同，相当于汉语中的“那是肯定的”或“完全没有问题”。 —Tom is a good student.
