Blacken●the circle next to the best answer. Stop pollution now! Hello. My name is Polly. Last week in class, we learnt about pollution. There are four kinds of pollution in Rainbow City: air, noise, water and land pollution. The main causes of air pollution are power plants, factories and heavy traffic. They give out a lot of smoke and make the air dirty. Air pollution 5is a serious problem. It can make people sick. Therefore, the government ought to make everyone keep the air clean. The main causes of noise pollution are heavy traffic, roadworks and construction. Too much noise can make it difficult for people to work or relax. Therefore, the government ought to make everyone produce less 10noise. The main causes of water pollution are factories and chemicals.Factories throw a lot of dirty water and chemicals into rivers and the sea. Water pollution is a serious problem because it can make people and fish sick. Therefore, the government ought to make everyone keep the water clean. The main causes of land pollution are construction and rubbish from people's homes. Construction produces a lot of waste. People throw away a lot of rubbish and put it in landfills. The landfills in RainbowCity are filling up quickly. When these are full, there will be nowhere to put all the rubbish. People ought to stop throwing away so much rubbish and start recycling and reusing old things.15 I think it is important for us to take action now. If we do not do something to help protect our environment, it will be destroyed very soon.25 20 1 What did Polly learn about in class last week?
