They had neither masks nor food. 重点一 陈述句 陈述句的否定结构 当句子的谓语动词是be，have或情态动词时，在它们之后加not构成否定式 。 例句：She is not a doctor. He has not (=hasn’t) been to Guangzhou. We cannot live without air. 重点一 陈述句 陈述句的否定结构 如果句子的谓语动词是行为动词而又没有助动词或情态动词时，在谓语动词前加助动词do(第三人称单数用does，过去式用did)，否定式则在助动词后加not构成(也可写成don’t, doesn’t, didn’t) 。 例句：I do not (=don’t) know the word. He does not (=doesn’t) speak English. We did not (=didn’t) attend the wedding. 重点一 陈述句 陈述句的否定结构 除not外，其他否定词也可以构成否定式，如no, never, seldom, rarely, little, few, hardly, nothing. 例句：He has no brothers.
