Textbook Publisher:
Learner Objective(s): Students will be able to read and act out a part of the story about The boy who cried wolf.”
Context for Learning: This is a storybook lesson and we will make use of a Story PPT instead of a hard copy story book. Today’s story is about The boy who cried wolf and we will first look at the new words from the story (e.g sheep, shepherd, wolf, bored, mistake) and then listen, repeat and read the story.
After-reading role-play. Students will split into teams of 6 (1 boy, 1 wolf, one sheep and 3 farmers) and given a script per team with the ppt as a backup.
I split my teams into rows, based on the classroom set up. The winning team with the most points gets a sticker. The team with the most stickers at the end of the year gets a prize.
