Unit 4 School in Canada Lesson 3 There are twenty pupils in my class.教学设计 教材分析 一、教材内容分析 Lesson 3 There are twenty pupils in my class.是新授课，共包括三部分:Part 1 Let's read.内容是: Lucy 给李明写信并邮寄照片，向李明介绍了加拿大班级的情况。主要通过下列语句 “There are twenty pupils in my class.”, “There are many books and pictures.”, “We are sitting in groups.”, “We often sit in a circle.”, “Some are making things."， “Sometimes we singsongs.”等介绍了加拿大班级教室陈设，就座的方式以及班内活动，呈现了加拿大班级的特点。 Part 2 Let's discuss.是对话练习，学生对以下三个问题 “How many pupils are there in Lucy' s class?”, “What's in Lucy' s classroom?”, “What are the pupils doing in groups?” 进行讨论并回答，通过这一环节， 加深学生对课文的理解。 Part 3 Let's write.要求学生根据图片和词组提示，完成句子，进一步梳理重点句型，明确重、难点。在此之前，通过前面课时的学习，学生能用所学句型“There is.../There are.. .”描述学校的特点。同时，学生也对于中国同加拿大的文化差异有所了解，为本节课拓展运用环节的顺利进行奠定了基础。 一、教学目标 1. 能听懂、会说、认读、拼写以下词汇： sit, group, circle, tell, story, different. 能够听懂、会说并认读下列句子：There are..., We are sitting... , Some are ...并在情景中灵活运用。 2. 进一步巩固 There be等句型的运用，会找出中加班级的不同，并能自如的交流中加学校的相关话题。 3. 了解中西方班级及学校的不同，感受中西方文化的差异，加深了解，增进友谊。 二、教学重难点 教学重点：There be句型的运用，以及找出中加文化差异。 教学难点：There be等句型的熟练运用，自如交流中加学校相关话题。 三、教学准备 教学课件、单词卡、活动材料等。 四、教学过程 Step 1 Warm-up （1）播放英文歌曲“Make A Circle”，让学生欣赏，渗透本课相关主题，创设良好的学习氛围。 （2）呈现课题“ Unit 4 school in Canada Lesson 3 There are twenty pupils in my class”。 【设计意图】开门见山，直入课题，让学生明白这节课要讲些什么。 （3）呈现 Lucy的头像，师生对话 Who is she? ...What’s the new school like? ...加强交流，回顾旧知。 （4）出示学校的图片，如图书馆、体育馆、教学楼、花草等，引导学生用 There is... There are...来描述学校。 【设计意图】通过师生对话以及复习环节，激活学生已有知识，大量地练习了 There be句型。既有效复习，又为接下来的学习做好铺垫。 Step 2 Presentation （1）教师出示 Lucy写信图片，引领学生进入课文情境，并提出问题：“How many pupils are there in Lucy’s class?”，引导学生自读第一段，回答问题。请学生通过阅读第一段找出答案: “There are twenty pupils.” 教 师 继 续 提 出 问 题 ： “What's in Lucy's classroom?” 学生通过阅读找出答案： “There are many books and pictures.” 【设计意图】这两个问题的提出，一方面可以调动学生的思维，引导学生说出班级人数并找出教室里有什么，另一方面可以为下一环节的开展做好铺垫。 （2）教师呈现 Let's read 的第二幅图，提出问题： “What are they doing?” 学生通过听第二段的音频找出答案： “They are sitting in groups.
