Teaching aims
1. Can talk about the school rules using the following sentence patterns:
You must do your homework.
You must come to school on time.
You must go to bed before 9:00 pm and get up early to get ready for school.
2. Let the students consciously abide by the school rules, do not be late for school, do not be absent from school, and do homework on time, and so on.

IV. Teaching steps
Step 1: Warm-up
At the beginning of the class, the teacher shows some pictures to students, and let the students talk about whether or not the behavior is right. Through the above activities, the teacher gives way to the following teaching contents: must & mustn’t
(the pictures: be late for school, shout loudly in the class, throw the rubbish everywhere, play basketball in the classroom, listen to the teacher carefully, do the homework )
Step 2: Review
Review the words (listen to the teacher, be on time, do your homework, early, be late for school, sorry) we learned last period according to the pictures and make sentences using must or mustn’t.
Step 3: Learning task 1
1.Let the students look at the dialogue on page 27 and listen to the tape carefully for one time and answer the following three questions:
①Was Li Xiao late for school on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday?
②What must Li Xiao do?
③Did Li Xiao do his Maths and Chinese homework?
2.The teacher shows the important sentences and asks the students to translate, read and remember them.
3.Let the students read the dialogue in different ways: read after the teacher, read in groups.
