Future in the past 过去将来时
过去将来时表示对过去某一时间来说将要发生的动作或呈现的状态, 常用在宾语从句中。这个时态是一个相对的时态, 立足于过去某时, 从过去的观点看未来。
(1) 就过去某一时间而言, 以后将要发生的事情;
(2) 过去安排好要做的事情;
(3) 后来真实发生的事情。

过去将来时的构成有以下几种形式:
(1) “would+do”结构,表过去将来或过去习惯性的动作。
(2) “was/were going to”结构表示按计划或安排即将发生; 根据当时
情况判断可能会发生。
(3) “was/were to”结构表示:a.曾经计划要做某事,但不一定执行;
命中注定要发生 b.本应该。
(4) “was/were+doing(come, go, arrive, leave, begin, start…)”结构
表示按计划、安排过去看将来要发生的动作。
(5) “was/were about to”结构表示即将要发生的动作, 不与表示
时间段的状语连用。
常用句型:were/was about to…when…;
were/was on the point of doing…when…。
