He is running/taking photos/calling up his friend/answering the phone now. Step 2: Lead-in 1. 设置场景一: Now, Mr, Smith was asking Qin Feng for help. So, do you know what does Qin Feng do? What's his job? 图片 My diamond was stolen last night. It is a present for my life. It's very important for me. Could you please help me find it? 事件背景介绍: Last night, Mr. Smith held a Housewarming Party. His new house is very nice and modern. Projections are everywhere, except two kinds of appliances. So, after the dinner the friends entertained themselves. He went to his bedroom and wrote an email. So, look at the key situation, how many people are there? 那么谁是小偷呢?我们现在还不知道。所以引入秦风的部分。 2. 设置场景二: 介绍案发情况,让学生饰演秦风,根据破案线索,完成工作日记,找出作案凶手。破获此案必须完成六项任务,每完成一项任务,就会获得一条有利的线索。凑齐六条线索就能破获此案。 Step 3: Pair work Activity 1: 情况排查 秦风对Mr. Smith的问话: What were you doing at 8 o'clock last night? I was writing an email in my bedroom. What were you doing at 9 o'clock? I was reading the email. 邻居情况: Make a short dialogue with your deskmate.(同桌间问答) 在这部分教师为同学们创设的情景是,询问邻居家的情况,以此为基础,来练习过去进行时的句式结构,内化语言知识点。 Underline what Mr.Smith's family were doing from 8 to 9 o'clock last night. 从这部分的阅读获得第一条线索。 So, who was listening to music? What was Lucy doing? 教师通过反复提问,让学生能够熟练运用过去进行时。之后的线索也是如此。 Activity 2:发现踪迹 Find the same forms in these sentences:was/were doing 总结规律: The past continuous tense Form: be(was/were)+doing Question Form: What be(was/were) sb. doing at a past moment? Meaning: Things were happening at a past moment. 以上部分实际上都是对过去进行时的操练。 Activity 3:火眼金睛 这部分关注过去进行时的时间状语。 找出不属于过去进行时的时间状语。 Activity 4:逐一排查 采访完之后,报道采访结果。
