Step 2 Work on 1a-1b 1.Ask the students to read the sentences in 1a and match them. 2.Check the answers. 3.Let the students look up the phrases in the dictionary and write down their meanings.Then the teacher further explains the use of the phrases. 4.Have the students match the phrasal verbs with the nouns in 1b.Then make sentences with the phrases. 5.Get some students to share their sentences and translate them. 6.Check the answers with the whole class.
