Have students pick one festival and briefly answer the following questions. (1) Why do you choose this festival? We choose the Carnival because it presents Brazilian culture and shows how they celebrate in an extremely exciting atmosphere with everyone dancing and singing in the street. (2) What do you want to introduce about this festival? We would like to talk about its origin and history. 3. Have students add more aspects to the following mind map and use it to conduct further research about the chosen festival in groups. Festival: Origin, Food, Activities, Description in literature… 4.
