八年级下6单元知识点 1. move（v）移动，搬动；感动；进展，发展 ①move from A to B 从A地搬家到B地。Eg：The Browns moved from Haikou to Beijing last year.“布朗一家去年从海口搬到了北京。” ②move on 前进，开始新的生活。Eg：Now, Lets move on and discuss the vital business of the day. “现在，让我们接着往下讨论今天的重要事宜。” 2. Journey to the west “西游记”；Romance of Three Kingdom“三国演义”；Water Margin“水浒传”A Dream in Red Mansions“红楼梦” 3. begin（v）开始 ①began to do sth = began doing sth “开始做某事” Eg：I was waiting for the bus when it began to rain. = I was waiting for the bus when it begin raining.“当天空开始下雨的时候我正在等公交车。” ②at the beginning of = at the start of“在……的开始、开端”Eg：We're going to Japan at the beginning of July. 我们七月初要去日本. *at the end of“在……的结尾，末尾” ③in the beginning = at first“起初”Eg：Everything's?hard?in?the?beginning.“万事开头难。” *in the end“最终”= at last = finally；by the end of“到……为止”常与过去完成时连用。 ④from beginning to end“从始至终”= from start to end Eg：I've read the book from beginning to end.“我把这本书从头到尾都看了。” 4. work on sth/doing sth“从事于……”Eg：They were working on moving the mountains.“他们正在从事于移山。” 5. be weak in “不擅长……”Eg：Jack is weak in English.“杰克不擅长英语。” 6. continue（v）继续 ①continue to do sth = continue doing sth“继续做某事” Eg：His family could continue to move the mountains after he died.“在他死后，他的家人可以继续移山。” 7. so +adj /adv+that 从句 “如此……以致于……”可以引导结果状语从句。Eg：A god was so moved by Yu Gong that he sent two gods to take the mountains away.“一个神被愚公感动了以致于他派了两个神把两座山带走了。” 8. such a/an +adj+可数名词单数+that从句“如此……的一个……以致于……”Eg：It is such a beautiful flower that I want to buy it.“它是如此漂亮的一朵花以致于我想买下它。” 9. send（v）发送，邮寄，派遣 ①send sb sth = send sth to sb “给某人寄/发送某物”Eg：I am going to send my stories to the magazines and newspapers.= I am going to send the magazines and newspapers my stories. “我打算把我的故事寄给杂志社和报社。” ②send （sb） for … “派人去请……”Eg：You should send for a doctor. “你应该派人去请医生” ③send sb to do sth “派人去做某事”Eg：The company headquarters sent him to solve this problem. “公司总部派他去解决这个问题。” 10. take away “带走，拿走”；take up“开始做；占用（时间）”；take up with“与……相交”；take out “拿出”；take in“吸收；理解；渗透”；take care of“照顾”；take after
