Let’s compare three of the things used in the past with those we use today. The first televisions could only show black and white pictures, but nowadays we have colour televisions which show us clear and colourful scenes. In the past, when people wanted to communicate with others, they wrote letters and waited for weeks for responses. Now the Internet enables us to email people instantly, even when they are thousands of miles away.
