I'll be driving you to today's the lesson, Book 1 Unit5—Languages Around the World, Reading and Thinking. Today I will interpret my teaching design in 9 aspects through star principles, analysis of the teaching material, analysis of the students, teaching theories, teaching and learning methods, teaching objectives, teaching priorities and challenges, teaching procedure and blackboard design, and the last one is about my teaching reflection. The teaching material is taken from People's Education Press, English for senior students, Book 1 Unit 5. It contains 6 sections. This teaching material is taken from the second one, and also the most important part of this unit. I endeavored to answer three questions: What, Why and How. As for what, the theme of this context: the Chinese writing system contributes to the importance and the development of the Chinese culture. The content: it is of the thematic contexts of men and society according to new curriculum. Why, the author's intention : the author expresses his confidence in Chinese civilization and Chinese culture in the world. So this is an expository test made up of three parts, the introduction of this topic, the development of the Chinese writing system, and also the importance of the Chinese writing system. This passage also includes two lines, one of which is the chronological overview of the development of the Chinese writing system. Second line is the one that echoes the title, connecting, indicating the very important role of the Chinese characters in the spread of Chinese civilization for thousands of years.
