China’s universities are providing scientific help for these countries. In the heart of the European Union, a Chinese–Belgian science park provides homes for companies which try to expand trade in medical devices, solar power and other technologies. In total, the scientific side of the BRI involves tens of thousands of researchers and students, and hundreds of universities.
