One of the international practices commonly used is agency, whereby a principal entrusts an agent to behave on his behalf in the targeted market in a specific area and during a specific period of time. The agent obtains commission or a certain percentage of the total sale volume as the remuneration for his service.

Under agency, the principal can control the targeted market much more easily. The agents and the principals usually have stable relationship, which may benefit both parties.
