Warm-up
In International Trade, one of the ultimate concerns of both the importer and the exporter is the price, which directly determines the profits and benefits of both parties. However, price differs with the different amount of duties and responsibilities on both parties. During the international trade practice, some conventional price models have been formed and widely used all over the world, which are called as trade terms.
These trade terms define(1) the price components, which show what costs are included in the price and (2) the delivery conditions, which sets the duties and responsibilities of both parties during the delivery process respectively. Trade terms simplify the trade negotiation process, minimize possible different understandings of the contract terms. Therefore, they play an important role in avoiding disputes in the international trade.
