I Introduction
Contract is a written document between importers and exporters covering the terms and conditions of a certain transaction and is enforceable by law, by which the two parties mutually promise to cooperate together with their respective rights and obligation.
A contract usually consists of three parts: the heading, the body and the ending.
The heading covers the title, number of the contract, date and place for signing the contract, name and address of the parties concerned, and the preface indicating the purpose of signing the contract.
The body is the most important part of the contract and includes all the terms and conditions, such as name of the commodity, specification, quality, quantity, packing, price, time and place delivery, port of shipment and destination, insurance, terms of payment, force majeure and other terms.
The ending usually includes copies of the contract, language used, signature, and the seal affixed by the parties.
