More than two decades after its inception, the shopping and auction website has become one of the consumer Internet and online services accompanying with the largest market cap globally. eBay’s platform connects buyers and sellers in more than 190 markets worldwide, and it ranks as the second most visited online marketplace in 2021, only surpassed by long-time rival Amazon.
eBay is an online marketplace built to enable trade on a local, national and international basis. eBay offers an online platform where millions of items are traded each day through “Online Auction Format”, also called “Auction-style Listing”, or through immediate “Buy It Now” “Fixed Price” and eBay Store listings.
