Cultivate students’ ability of listening for the main idea. 2. Develop students’ critical thinking and innovative thinking ability by using the phrases to express purposes. 教学方法 independent learning; cooperative learning. 辅助教具 powerpoint; blackboard 教学过程 Teaching steps Learning Activities Purposes IP&time Step 1 Lead-in Show some show some pictures of endangered animals. Draw students’ interest to the topic of listening. (2 minutes) Step 2 Pre-listening Activity 1 :Match the words with the pictures Activity 2: Choose the right ending for each sentences. Introduce the topic of birdwatching and related vocabulary as preparation for the following activities. Practise using phrases to express purpose to complete sentences about the topic. (5 minutes) Step 3 While-listening Activity 3: Listen and answer the questions. Activity 4: Listen again and use the phrases you hear to fill in the blanks. Practise listening for general information about the passage. Practise listening for more details to highlight the use of phrases expressing purpose. (15minutes) Step 4 Post-listening:Group work talkng 1. Think of other
