Unit 2 Great people Integrated skills & Study skills 设计说明 由学生熟悉的人物导入，向学生介绍居里夫人。引导学生阅读并完成A1部分内容，然后回答问题。帮助学生初步熟悉听力内容，降低听力难度，培养学生根据阅读材料获取信息和处理信息的能力。以A1部分剩余内容引导学生进行听前预测，激发学生了解居里夫人更多信息的兴趣，培养学生听前预测的能力。创设情境，引导学生结合实际自编对话，谈论最崇拜的人物和理由以促进学生互动学习，提高实际运用英语的能力。然后通过展示，让学生学会辨别正式用语和非正式用语，并尝试在不同场景正确使用。 教学目标 通过本课节的教学，让学生达成以下目标： 1.知识目标 掌握词汇：mathematics, scientist, radium，laboratory, professor，discovery, unknown, widely, marry a French scientist, the discovery of, get married, be unknown to, pushed for the use of X-ray machines 2.能力目标 (1)了解有关居里夫人的基本信息； (2)学会从阅读和听力材料中获取信息，完成练习； (3)了解和辨别正式用语和非正式用语。 3.情感目标 学习居里夫人认真严谨的态度、刻苦钻研的精神和热爱祖国的伟大情怀。 重点难点 1.重点：谈论名人以及他们值得钦佩的原因。 2.难点：能根据场景正确使用正式用语和非正式用语。 教学准备 PPT课件；相关图片；录音 授课时数 1课时 教学过程 Step 1 Lead-in Ask students to have a free talk to say something about great people. Students have learnt a lot about great people. Ask students to talk about their names, jobs, personalities, qualities and so on. Then introduce Marie Curie to them. Do you know who he / she is? What did he/she do? Marie Curie—the first woman to win the Nobel Prize. Step 2 Presentation 1. Read and answer Ask students to read Millie’s notes, and then answer some questions to know more about Marie Curie.
