Aims and Main Points
Cross-border E-commerce is a new-type business mode that
provides an effective way to broaden overseas marketing channel,
promote brand competitiveness by digitalizing and electronizing
exhibition, negotiation and conclusion of traditional trade by means
of e-commerce, and delivering products through cross-border logistics
or international warehousing services. It covers logistics, information
flow, capital flow, and document flow. Daily operation of cross-border
e-commerce includes online shop decoration, operation, marketing,
logistics, returning and replacement of goods, refunding, financial
services, quality inspection, insurance and so on.
Background Information
In terms of business model, Cross-border E-commerce can be
divided into Business-to-Consumer(B2C), Consumer-to-Consumer
(C2C) and Business-to-Business(B2B) e-commerce.
B2C (Business-to-Consumer) refers to the business activities
between companies and individual consumers in different customs
areas through e-commerce platform. Companies provide consumers
with shopping through the Internet, allowing consumers to gather
information, purchase goods or services and pay their bills on line.
C2C (Consumer-to-Consumer) is facilitated in large part by third-
party e-commerce platforms offering functions to enable transactions
and interactions between individual sellers and buyers in different
customs areas. Individual sellers publish information on product, price
and other respects, and individual buyers can screen the information
and complete purchase.
