Aims and Main Points
Packing is the science, technology and art of enclosing or protecting the goods for logistics, distribution, storage, sale and use. Proper packing is of great significance for facilitating storage and transportation as well as protecting, beautifying and promoting the goods. Generally speaking, packing clauses should indicate packing materials, packing methods, quantity or weight of the goods contained
in each package, etc. All the conditions should be clear and specific.
Background Information
According to the role that packing plays in international trade, packing can be divided into two categories, i.e., transport packing (outer packing) and sales packing (inner packing).
Sometimes, in order to break through trade barriers and non-
trade barriers of some import countries, or to meet special needs of cross-border transactions, neutral packing is also widely adopted in international trade.
