Let Ss make conversation with the sentence structure “Do you know where I can …/ Could you tell me where I can …?” Step 2 Activity 1a. Match each thing with a place in the picture. (Many different answers are possible.) Step 3 Activity 1b. Listen and complete the conversation in the picture in 1a. Listen again and answer some questions. Step 4 Pair works. Make conversations. Let Ss using the information in 1a to make conversation and then to talk about their own town or city. Show Ss some pictures and let them talk about the directions correctly. Step 5 Conclusion. Give Ss a summary of sentence structures about “ask directions and giving directions” and let them remember. Step 6 Pair works. Let Ss make conversations by using the sentences in the summary to describe the locations of things in a picture. Step 7 Activity 2a. Listen and number the directions in the order you hear. Step 8 Activity 2b. Listen again. Let Ss draw a line in the picture in 2a to show how to get to the supermarket. Step 9 Pair works.
